RESERVATION & CANCELLATION
How do I find out your availability?
Please fill out our inquiry form by clicking the button "Rent Kinfolk Inspired Space" located on the top right corner of our website.
Once we have received your form, we will email you back within 24 hours to confirm availability.
How do I reserve a date?
We require a $50 deposit via Paypal or Venmo to reserve a date after confirming availability. Your deposit will go toward the full payment amount.
What is the whole payment process?
After we receive you deposit, the remaining amount will be due no later than 7 days before the event date.
What if I need to cancel?
Your deposit is fully refundable 2 weeks before the event date. Any cancellations within the 2 weeks period of the event date will receive partial refund. *Cancellation details will be laid out in the rental contract.
Is there a rental agreement I need to sign?
You will receive a rental contract after submitting a deposit. A signed contract must be emailed back to us along with the remaining rental payment 7 days before the event date.
Can I add additional hours after I've already signed my contract?
We need to be notified at least 3 days prior to the event date to confirm, if in fact, we can extend your time.
STUDIO DETAILS & LIMITATIONS
Is KIS only available on weekends?
Mondays through Thursdays are reserved for co-working and client meetings ONLY. As KIS is also an active working space for Esselle and other members.
Fridays through Sundays are available to rent for photography, workshop, and other activities.
What types of activities are suitable for your space?
Our studio is great for co-working, client meetings, intimate gatherings, floral and DIY workshops, product photography, branding/lifestyle photography, portraiture, family sessions, wedding styled shoots, and filming.
One thing to note, any large scale floral/DIY workshop of more than 15 attendees that require large desk space per person will not be suitable.
Can I schedule a site visit?
Yes! We highly recommend a site visit to get a sense of the space, lighting and various furniture and decor we have available. Please email us to set a date & time to visit.
Can I use the studio furniture and decor pieces?
We have a flat rate rental fee for our lounge furniture and other props. Co-working desks and chairs are free to use for photography. Please email us for more details.
Do you have any photography equipments in the studio?
We have paper backdrops and stands available to rent at a flat rate. Please email us for details.
Can I bring food and drinks?
Yes! Please be sure to also bring your own drinkware, flatware, and utensils. While we have some at the studio, it's strictly for office use. You are welcome to use our refrigerator to store your food and drinks!
I have a big photoshoot and will have rental pieces, can I ask rental companies to deliver to your studio directly?
Rental deliveries are only allowed if it's arriving and being picked up on the SAME DATE as your event date. The renter will be responsible for coordinating all outside rentals and must be present for all outside rental deliveries for both receiving and send-offs. We do not allow overnight storage, and will not be responsible for any outside rental coordinating.
Do you sponsor as a venue for photoshoots and/or workshops?
We are not seeking collaboration partnerships at this time as we want to keep our space affordable, and available for small businesses in the South Bay.
